During a recent trip to the CFCA project in San Lucas Toliman, Guatemala, Palmer spoke with CFCA board member emeritus Msgr. Greg Schaffer who spoke a simple truth, that we are not trying to “fix” the poor; the poor are not broken.

Hi Chris, Thank you for what you do for so many - I have been a sponsor to a beautiful Guatemalan girl since she was 6, she is now 13 and I have had the opportunity to come to Guatemala and go to San Lucas 3 different times. It is a part of my life now and I love Fr Greg and what he stands for. He has taught me much and he is actually from my Diocese. I feel so blessed to have this opportunity to come and learn and smile with the people of Guatemala and San Lucas. May God Bless you for what you do. I hope to come back next January. MM
